- Mukadota – Safirio Madzikatire who is popularly known as Mukadota was a multi-disciplinary artist who rocked our television sets from the 80’s to the 90’s.His comedy was expressed well in his music as well leaving a mark on his audience heart forever.
- Gringo – Born in 1973 Lazarus Boora is popularly known as Gringo. Gringo was Enock Chihombori’s cartoon character which was later on adopted and became an instant hit on with television viewers.
- Kapfupi – The actor/ musician rose from street theatre to our screens and became a hit. Freddy Manjalima came from Epworth and ended up with hit songs such as Mai Ngaa.
- Paraffin – Paraffin was like a meteor shower when he rocked our screens in the 90’s leaving all viewers with stitches. Paraffin was a gossiper who gossiped about what was going on in the neighbourhood. He was known for his amazing eating habits when he visited neighbours . Paraffin’s career ended with his death on June 29 1997.
- John Banda – Gringo was the only television show that Collen Dube was John Banda but left a mark on everyone’s heart and that is how we remember the legend. Collen was found dead in a pool.
- Timmy – The actor started as a gardener at ZBC in 1988 and found himself climbing up the ladder from gardener to messenger then programmes complier for radio. In the early 90’s Timmy naBonzo was a radio show and they hustled until it was a television hit.
- Bhonzo – The Bhonzo to Timmy naBhonzo has had a journey that started at the radio station and made it to the small screen as the biggest act at the time.
- Leroy Gopal – The yellow card star took his time to penetrate the South African market but at age 34 with a couple awards such as best actor in a comedy award at the South African Film and Television Awards.
- Tino Katsande – The actress is popularly known for her role as Joyce on the legendary soapie Studio 263 where she plays the daughter of the controversial amai Huni.
- Detective Davis – The successful actor had his big break in 2003 when he landed a role in Studio 263. It seemed Arnold Chirisa had reached the pinnacle of his career when got a role in the South African movie Mr Bones. Little did we know the man was headed to Hollywood were he scooped roles in films such as CSI.
