Knowledge Musona

Knowledge Musona (born 21 June 1990) is a Zimbabwean footballer who plays as a striker for K.V. Oostende in the Belgian Pro League and the Zimbabwe national team. He previously played for Aces Youth Soccer Academy in Zimbabwe, Kaizer Chiefs and 1899 Hoffenheim before joining K.V. Oostende. Musona joined Kaizer Chiefs in 2009 without having made an appearance in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League. At Aces he played with current Mamelodi Sundowns player Khama Billiat. He was used sparingly as a substitute in the 2009–10 season but still managed to score a handful of crucial goals. In July 2010 he was awarded the PSL Club Rookie of the Year award.The 2010–11 season proved to be Musona’s break through season as he scored 15 goals in 28 league games to win the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot which attracted the interest of European clubs such as Bundesliga side 1899 Hoffenheim, Serbian giants FK Partizan and Scottish Premier League giants Celtic. On 28 July 2011, Musona signed for German Bundesliga side 1899 Hoffenheim, with the player signing a five-year contract for R19,5 million

Munyaradzi “Bloggo” Dodo

Munyaradzi “Bloggo” Dodo, is the founder of TV Yangu which has been nominated for the best use of social media by a start-up category. TV Yangu is a year-old video-driven website which boasts of a wide variety of content on their website as they have managed to secure it through crowd sourcing. Some of the content found on the website includes the South African-based comic animation Noko Mashaba, Shuga a drama from Nigeria, Makosi Today, Invision Short films, music videos, Napstalk a web series by Star FM radio DJ Napster and the hilarious skits from PO.Box that have gone viral. TV Yangu also won the award for   Best Citizen Journalist Award at the last edition of the Shoko Festival Hub Unconference, walking away with $1 000 last year.

Mbonisi Mahonondo, best known as Mbo Mahocs is a young achiever who has fallen in love with media and is known for her hosting the television show, Bulawayo Swagg (BYO Swagg). She is an Architect Student and also has had the privilege of working in media with Zimbabwe’s Online Urban Culture Lifestyle magazine, dEck Magazine.As an actress, Mbo Mahocs featured on a one man act play by Mgcini Nyoni, a theatrical piece which went on to be Sold Out at the Harare International Festival of the Arts in 2013. Her acting capabilities have led to her scooping roles in a short film featuring Award Nominee Comedian, Clive Chigubhu, Written and Produced by Tswarelo Mothobe, Qiniso, a film written and produced by Lenin Sibanda and many other television projects. Mbo Mahocs is the first Bulawayo person to Cover Jewel Magazine Zimbabwe. She has also hosted the Red Carpert at the Fashion Weekend Zimbabwe 2013 and also did the Voice Overs for the National Arts Merit Awards 2014. As a Fashionista herself, Mbo Mahocs has hosted a vast number of Fashion shows and events in Zimbabwe.

Zororo Makamba has become well known not only to ZiFM Stereo listeners but to viewers of My Own Boss on Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) Television. He was one of the judges, along with business mogul Philip Chiyangwa on this reality show, on which potential or budding entrepreneurs were given tasks to do in teams with the judges deciding on the basis of their performance, which contestants should be eliminated. Zororo is on a management development programme with Telecel Zimbabwe. He has Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Michigan State University in the United States, where he was specialising in Sales Communication. Through his charity organization Zororo pays school fees for orphans in Zimbabwe

Charmaine Picardo

Charmaine Picardo has over three years of experience working in HIV and AIDS activism, sexual and reproductive health and rights advocacy (SRHR), and over four years of experience in media and information dissemination with skills in project management and coordination, public speaking, and journalism. She is the SRHR Ambassador for young people in Zimbabwe and is responsible for implementing projects for young women living on the streets of Harare, Zimbabwe and has produced a documentary highlighting and sharing their experiences. She is Zimbabwe’s elected country representative for the Southern Africa’s Young Women’s Network (SAYWNet). Charmaine is currently studying to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe. After completing the Washington Fellowship, she plans to complete her SRHR project working with young women living on the streets, source free sanitary wear distribution in marginalized communities, and establish a young people’s think tank.
