You’ve seen the memes; we even gave you best of the best internet memes of Tezvara in a pair of shorts at his daughter’s wedding. Well, it turns out Peter Irimayi Mudavanhu AKA #tezvara speaks and he had a lot to say to you all who were making fun of him.
The Marondera man has broke his silence as he has made known how he really feels about the outfit that made him a household name. Here are ten facts you should know about our favorite tezvara.
1. Tezvara’s rise to fame happened on the 6th of April 2015 while attending his daughter’s wedding at Gilmar gardens in Marondera.
2. Peter Mudavanhu last wore a pair of trousers in 1988, which he later gave away, so most of you are younger than his last pair of trousers.
3. The last time he wore trousers was during his graduation ceremony at the University of Zimbabwe. Bet you thought he wasn’t learned huh?!
4. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and he works as a professional animal scientist. Look who’s fancy.
5. His job allows him to work in shorts and is not apologetic about the way he dresses. (Moral of the story, do what you love and you don’t have to wear a pair of trousers a day in your life.)
6. He was the principal planning officer for development and research from 1989-2003 for the whole of Mashonaland East (UzumbaMaramba Pfungwe to Chivhu).
7. Of his children, the daughter who got married is the only one who has seen him wearing trousers.
8. His choice of dressing at the wedding wasn’t a protest against the wedding; he just doesn’t feel comfortable in a suit. His children approve his sense of dressing, his wife, not so much.
9. Despite living in chilly Marondera, tezvara doesn’t fancy himself in a pair of trousers. He only has one pair of trousers in his wardrobe just in case he finds himself in a court of law.
10. He owns about thirty pairs of shorts of which eighteen of them are for functions. The rest of them are for the farm when he’s working.
