1. Research on depression
Gather all the information you can about depression. Most people don’t believe that depression is a real disease, learn and teach yourself about the signs and natural ways of dealing with it.

2. Focus on Self Love
Understand that no one is perfect, be gentle with yourself and love yourself enough to forgive yourself in whatever you feel bad for. Remind yourself about all the great things you love about you, encourage and love yourself.

3. Change your thinking
Never entertain negativity in your mind, whenever a negative thought enters your mind quickly replace it with a positive one.

4. Be productive
Keeping yourself busy, immerse yourself in something that you love and enjoy doing. Try something new and exciting, don’t allow yourself to be bored and have nothing to do.

5. Get into a routine

7. Keep a journal
Keep a journey journal of your journey, every feeling, little achievement and setbacks that you face along the journey. It will help you realize how far you’ve come and not give up on yourself.

8. Take on responsibilities
It’s easier to feel defeated and pull back from your responsibilities when you suffer from depression but try not to succumb and continue with your daily responsibilities using them as your natural treatment.

9. Get enough sleep
Lack of sleep can aggravate negative thinking and it can disturb your sleeping routine and disable your ability to get enough sleep.

10. Practice gratitude
Notice when you’re not depressed and take time to be fully present in those moments and appreciates. Be grateful for those moments and when you’re depressed you will know it will pass.
