Zimbabwe Youth Council To Launch National Youth Colors Awards

The Zimbabwe Youth Council is to launch the National Colors Awards in July which will focus on various categories that are relevant to young people’s development.

The public is invited to nominate outstanding young people in different sectors. Anyone who has succeeded exceptionally in their field of effort, raised the country’s flag on regional or international level and is under thirty-five years of age can be nominated.

You can nominate anyone in the arts fraternity, sports, media, entrepreneur, academic youth ambassador, tourism and hospitality ambassador, corporate professionals, youth developers and those excelling in science and technology.

“These colors are statutory awards that are created under the Zimbabwe Youth Council Act Chapter 25:19, the Youth Council will pass a resolution requesting the Head of State to confer National Colors Awards to particular individuals and organizations,” said Livingstone Dzikira, the ZYC director.

‘We appealing to all citizens in and outside of the country to contribute to this process by nominating individuals or organizations they think have done well for the country over the past years”, he continued.

The awards will be organized by the ZYC in collaboration with AB Productions who brought ZiFM and Mighty Movies to make the event a success.

Nominations end on the 30th of June and the awards will be held at HICC on the 24th of July. A team of adjudicators and auditors will preside over the nomination and verification processes.
