Saviour Kasukuwere is the Minister of Environment, Water and Climate in Zimbabwe. Accomplished businessman and politician, at forty-four, he is one of the youngest ministers in the country. He’s very active and vocal on social media which has made him even more popular.

Here are ten things that you might not know about the socially active Minister, Saviour Kasukuwere.

1. Saviour Kasukuwere was born in 1970 on October 23rd in Mount Darwin where he did his Primary and Secondary education.

2. After completing High School he studied Political Science at University of Zimbabwe.

3. His first entry into politics was in 1988 when he joined the Prime Minister’s Office at the age of 18.

4. He later joined ZANU-PF and trained in the Central Intelligence Organization (CIO) in Mutare.

5. He is nicknamed “Tyson” but he doesn’t know why.

6. In 1994 he left politics to pursue his business career but came back in 1999 when he was elected as the Youth Chairman of Mashonaland Central.

7. The Minister is also an entrepreneur, he owns ComOil company which deals with oil procurement, United Touring Company (UTc)and is a shareholder at Interfresh company.

8. Saviour Kasukuwere is married to Barbara Kasukuwere and they have three children.

9. Amongst all these positions, he is also a farmer, he owns cornocopia farm in Shamva.

10. He is one of the most followed Zimbabwean politicians on twitter with over 23000 followers drawing more interest in him.
