Harlington Shereni To Host A Testimonial Match At The National Sports Stadium

Harlington Shereni might have said he’s out of football for good but he’s still a footballer at heart. The 39 year old retired footballer will host a testimonial match at the National Sports Stadium on the 27th of June this year.

Shereni has invited some of his footballer friends from Africa, the likes of Senegal’s El Hadji Diouf, Ivorian defender Emmanuel Eboue, Bonaventure Kalou and locals Benjani Mwaruwari, Norman Mapeza, Costa Nhamoinesu, Khama Billiat and Kingstone Nkhata among others.

The all star team is set to face Zimbabwe’s current National team. The match will be held after a gala dinner on the 26th.

Shereni is said to be excited about the event which he says they should be done to recognize the contribution made by sports stars. The last testimonial match was held in 2012 in honor of Benjani Mwaruwari.
