Zimbabwean forward Knowledge Musona helped his Belgian outfit go top of the Belgium topflight after scoring his first goal of the 2015/2016 season. Musona opened the scoring for the Coast Boy’s in the 24th minute following some impressive attacking play by Oostende.musona final

The West Flemings extended their lead in the second half with the first ever league goal from Jordan Lukaku, the younger brother of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku.

The match appeared to be done and dusted until Gounongbe pulled one back for Westerlo. Westerlo went full out for the equalizer and KVO had an excellent chance to extend their lead with a great chance for Akpala.

Oostende in the end held onto their 2-1 lead to win. The victory was KV Oostende’s second successive win after the Coast Boy’s won their opening league encounter against KV Mechelen. The win placed Oostende as the Belgian topflight joint log leaders with Anderlecht who have also won two out two.
