Zim Receives 80 Scholarships from Algeria

80 scholarships have been handed over by the Algerian government. The scholarships offered cover various disciplines in Algeria’s universities. This is aimed to broaden the country’s skills base.

The Algerian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Nacidine Sai made this disclosure when he paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Presidential and National Scholarships in the Office of the President, Dr Christopher Mushohwe at his offices in Harare today.

Dr Mushohwe expressed his gratitude to the Algerian government for its continued efforts in assisting Zimbabwe’s higher education.

About 370 Zimbabwean students, mostly from disadvantaged backgrounds, are already studying at Algeria’s top universities through these scholarships.

The 80 selected students will study various disciplines such as nanotechnology, medicine, engineering and business, among others.
