Even In Death Cecil The Lion Made It In The Concrete Jungle Of New York City

Even in his death, Cecil the lion is still making headlines, beautiful views and taking over social media and the world one Empire building at a time.

As we reported last week, Cecil was tragically killed “for sport” by an American poacher who is famous for trophy hunting. It seems people are not letting the story rest or at least Cecil, his image has been seen on the Empire Building in New York to raise more awareness towards trophy hunting.

Cecil image appeared among a number of animals in the campaign which was organized to promote Discovery Channel’s documentary on mass extinction.

Back home the wildlife authorities are looking into extraditing Walter Palmer (the killer) over Cecil’s death. Palmer still maintains he was hunting legally.

The US Authorities are said to be reviewing a petition to send Cecil’s killer back o Zimbabwe to face justice. Maybe then, Cecil will rest in peace.
