1. Accountability, Monitoring and Evaluation Facilitator

This position also includes:

  • Relationship development with communities, facilitating and promoting their needs and rights;
  • Representing the community to the organisation;
  • Implementing feedback and complaints systems;
  • Providing support to government/interagency coordination and to ensure compliance to donor and international standards.
  • Prepare monthly project performance management reports, document lessons learned and best practices from project implementation for purposes of improving programming and sharing with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with the M & E Officer to develop the project IMIS that will be used for the purpose of monitoring and evaluation

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • Diploma/Degree in social sciences or statistics.
  • Working knowledge of MS office and statistical packages (SPSS, CS-Pro, Epi-Info and Excel).
  • Experience in conducting surveys / assessments.
  • Experience in using qualitative and quantitative monitoring tools.
  • At least 2 years experience in M&E and/or Accountability systems.

2. Food For Assets Monitors x 3

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Liaise with Warehouse staff on distribution planning and NFI and Commodities dispatching from Warehouse to FFA Sites and Final Distribution Points (FDPs)
  2. Ensure that all NFIs and Commodities entrusted to World Vision arriving at FFA Sites and FDPs are properly accounted for.
  3. Scrutinize all waybills for NFIs and Commodities arriving at the FFA Site and FDP.
  4. Ensure that the NFIs and Commodities are of correct quantities and quality as manifested on the waybill. Immediately record all quantities delivered short (missing), quantities lost in transit and quantities damaged if any. All observations must be recorded immediately. NFIs and Commodities must carefully be counted during off-loading.
  5. Monitor all the FFA sites in the districts produce reports.
  6. Check for the work progress against work norms and timeframe and report progress of the work to FFA Officer.
  7. Check Attendance Registers of workers on site, marking of the attendance Registers absence and get details regarding workers absence.

Knowledge and Skills

  1. This position requires a mature candidate, a self starter, with dedication and ability to work with less or no supervision.
  2. A Minimum of Certificate or Diploma in Social Sciences or Development Studies
  3. Candidates should also have at least 1 years previous experience in a related field.
  4. Ability to ride a motor cycle is a must.
  5. Ability to perform field assignments and willingness to travel for long period of time in difficult terrain, harsh and demanding conditions. Candidates should also be willing to live and work in very difficult and security-risk areas
  6. Good command of oral and written English, a must. Computer literacy is an added advantage.

3. Food For Asset Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing implementation guidelines in Food For Assets Programming and ensuring that there is advocacy in research works for relevant project designs from the communities, Local Authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinating with other Relief and Development Agencies, Local Authorities and Government line- ministries in Program areas in ensuring that food assets projects are in line with required standards.
  • Interpreting technical designs and drawings and be able to represent WV when dealing with consultants and other government technical departments.
  • Training community members and staff in aspects of construction, operation and maintenance of infrastructure
  • Supervise FFA Officers and contractors, community members in the construction of various infrastructure on FFA Sites.
  • Fore-seeing potential disasters associated with FFA projects proposed by the communities and come up with risk mitigation measures.

Monitoring and Reporting of FFA Work

  • Monitor all FFA sites in ENSURE Manicaland and support FFA Officers with technical knowhow.
  • Weekly and Monthly Report to Commodities Manager regarding FFA activities progress, completion and challenges.
  • Assist ENSURE Engineer in visiting FFA sites to give green light for phase completion so that work progress timely.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Degree in Rural and Urban Development/ Developmental Studies/Agricultural or any related qualification.
  • A qualification in Civil / Agricultural/Irrigation Engineering with experience in rural development will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three years community development and/or project management experience in a government office or NGO, on issues relevant to the technical area.
  • A clean Class 3 drivers License. Ability to ride a Motorbike is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge on civil, water and irrigation engineering
  • Basic knowledge on infrastructure and irrigation policy
  • Knowledge on the minimum standards on infrastructure development

4. Food Monitors

Duties and Responsibilities

  2. Ensure that all commodities entrusted to World Vision arriving at FDPs are properly accounted for.
  3. Scrutinize all waybills for commodities arriving at the FDP.
  4. Ensure that the commodities are of correct quantities and quality as manifested on the waybill. Immediately record all quantities delivered short (missing), quantities lost in transit and quantities damaged if any. All observations must be recorded immediately. Commodities must carefully be counted during off-loading.
  5. Train beneficiaries on Donor, Implementing Partner, Program, Duration, Selection Criteria, and Ration Sizes.
  6. Monitor the distribution of commodities for every FDP and produce reports.
  7. Ensure that all commodities are accounted for at the FDP and make sure all distributions are carried out according to WV standards.

Knowledge and Skills

  1. This position requires a mature candidate, a self starter, with dedication and ability to work with less or no supervision.
  2. Ability to distribute using LMMS
  3. Prospective candidates should have a minimum of secondary school education
  4. Candidates should also have at least 1 years previous experience in Commodities Management.
  5. Ability to ride a motor cycle is an added advantage
  6. Ability to perform field assignments and willingness to travel for long period of time in difficult terrain, harsh and demanding conditions.
  7. Good command of oral and written English, a must. Computer literacy is an added advantage.
