Quincy Antipas availability a major doubt

Warriors striker Quincy Antipas is unlikely to be available for Zimbabwe’s crucial African Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea owing to injury.

Antipas who has been out of action since May with an ankle injury is expected to undergo surgery on Thursday. Following surgery the Denmark based player is expected to be out of action for six to eight weeks.

Antipas was included by Kalisto Pasuwa in a strong squad that was announced on Monday but the former Caps United player will not be available for the tie due to an ankle problem.

Given the absence of Antipas, Pasuwa will now have to rely on other in form players such as Knowledge Musona and Nyasha Mushekwi.
