Thomas Chideu receives work permit

Young Warriors striker Thomas Chideu left for South Africa on Monday after finally receiving his work permit.

Chideu in July signed a contract with Ajax Cape Town after impressing at the ABSA Premiership club. Having spent the past month waiting for his papers to be processed Chideu finally received his work permit paving way for the Young Warriors striker to begin life in Cape Town.

Thomas Chideu turned out for Highlanders before attracting the interest of Ajax Cape Town who were quick to snap up the Prince Edward old boy.

The processing of Chideu’s permit will come as a relief for Ajax who were short of strikers. A spate of injuries has left Ajax significantly weakened and having to rely on Prince Nxumalo as a lone striker.

The arrival of Chideu is however expected to hand Roger De Sa with more options upfront.
