Tinotenda Kadewere close to signing for Swedish outfit

Zimbabwe under 23 forward Tinotenda Kadewere is on the brink of sealing a move to Swedish topflight out Djurgadens.

Kadewere left the country last month and has been on atrial stint with Djurgadens. The Swedish outfits technical team has reportedly been impressed by Kadewere who could join a long list of Zimbabwean players plying their trade abroad.

Tinotenda Kadewere’s agent Gibson Mahachi told Zimsportsnews.com, “Negotiations are now at an advanced stage, the club has expressed interest in signing Tinotenda and if all goes well by end of day tomorrow (Thursday) agreement may have been reached,” said Mahachi.

Kadewere was nurtured by his father the late Onias Kadewere at Highfield Academy. At school Kadewere attended Prince Edward High where he rubbed shoulders with current Warriors goalkeeper Tatenda Mukuruva.

The brother to former young warriors player Prosper Kadewere made his breakthrough in 2014 when he was signed by premiership outfit Harare City. It was at Harare City where the Prince Edward old boy attracted the attention of scouts who monitored the lanky forward closely.

If the move to Djurgadens is successful Kadewere who was a key member of the Young Warriors side which qualified for the African games to be held in Congo Brazzaville will join Warriors striker Nyasha Mushekwi.
