Emotional Macheso Sheds Tears On Stage

Sungura music maestro, Alick Macheso wept on stage last Friday at Pick N Save in Mutare after he was overwhelmed by emotions, as he smashed out the song ‘Baba’ from his highly successful album ‘Tsoka Dzerwendo’.

As Macheso delivered one of his greatest performances at the crowded entertainment venue, temporarily broke off in the midway of the song. He said that some of his songs are so touching and reflects deeply into their lives. Sometimes he end up being emotional.

According to Alick Macheso, the track ‘Baba’ is a gentle reminder to men that they should enjoy taking care of their babies, just as much as they enjoy chasing women also likely resonate with many single mothers and even some married women whose husbands are mere ‘place holders’.

Despite the emotional moments, Macheso and Orchestra Mberikwazvo gave a dazzling performance that kept the audience on its toes, as he played all the songs from his latest album.
