TV Yangu Signs A Deal With MTV Base For The Forth Season Of Shuga

More exciting news for the young Zimbabwe entertainment industry, TV Yangu has just signed a deal with MTV Base channel to have the screening rights to screen the upcoming forth season of the hit series Shuga.

This means TV Yangu is the only platform in Zimbabwe which has the deal to screen the season three and four of the hit show. The show is sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in partnership with Pepfar. Shuga became a continental hit series in 2010 and featured now Oscar winning Kenyan actress Lupita Nyongo.

“The deal means a lot to us as a Zimbabwean startup we feel like we are on the right track and getting the deal not only gives us confidence but our partners as well that we are on the right track”, said Munya Bloggo, TV Yangu founder.

TV Yangu got the deal after reaching out to MTV last year. “This deal takes a step close providing world class content to a new generation of millennials who are watching content online as opposed to traditional format”, he said.
