Seh Calaz takes a leaf from Alick Macheso.

Zimdancehall artist Seh Calaz recently expressed gratitude at having had the opportunity to learn a thing or two from Alick Macheso. The two singers are both in the U.K at the moment for shows.

Seh Calaz indeed took done some notes from the wise Sungura artist. He said that he had spent about an hour with the Sungura musician and learnt some valuable showbiz lessons. Seh Calaz said that Baba Sharo had told him to be humble especially to his fans. He had impressed upon him the importance of spending time with fans. Baba Sharo had advised him that it was unethical for one to unleash bouncers at innocent fans who would want to get close to their favourite singer. He said that it was important for one to spend time with his followers especially before and after shows.

Seh Calaz also highlighted that he had been told to always pitch up for scheduled shows. He was advised to perform whole heartedly even if the audience was too small.

Another principle that Seh Calaz learnt was never to refuse having pics taken with fans. He said this one had really hit home because prior to the conversation, Seh Calaz had been one to refuse having pics taken with female fans for fear of negative inferences being drawn.

Seh Calaz said that he was grateful for the advice. Considering that Seh Calaz is one of the arrogant characters in zimdancehall music, the advice was surely warranted. Seh Calaz has often had public altercations with fellow artists. He recently poked at South African based musician Buffalo Souljah. He has even composed diss songs targeted at his so called enemies. These include Handikendenge and Titori bho takadaro.
