President Mugabe has made public his concern on churches going after followers of their hard-earned money. Whilst doing an interview in South Africa, Magaya said he understood where the President was coming from.

“He is being a President, that is very good. Even if it were you, you were going to do the same. How would you react if you are in a nation and someone is having ministry and you do not understand where they are and where they are coming from?”, he told the press in Pretoria.

Magaya said he would do the same if he was in the President’s position. “That’s a very good thing of a President who is in a nation with strange movements of spirits. He needs to be worried because people may be led astray. So if he criticises. I support him”, said Magaya who is a leader of one of the biggest Pentecostal churches to come out of the country.
