The World Is Buzzing About His Adele’s ‘Hello’ Cover:Here Are 5 Things You Need To Know About Taps Mugadza

Taps Mugadza is the name on everyone’s lips right now after his version of Adele’s instant hit ‘Hello’ went viral. After South African radio station played his version, the American based singer trended with people praising his vocals.

But what do we know about the talented vocalist? Here are five things you need to know about Tapiwa (Taps) Mugadza.

1. Tapiwa was born in Harare, he was abandoned on the doorstep of an orphanage when he was two days old.

2. He began his music career when he entered the CBZ A’ Academy competition and came out third.

3. He later joined the Christian Mission Group called ‘Rock Africa’ which eventually helped him move to the US to pursue his music career.

4. In May 2009 Taps Mugadza was accepted as a student at the Musician Institute in Hollywood which saw him graduating with the school’s highest honor, ‘Outstanding Artist’.

5. Taps is also an activist, he used to help dig well when he was still in Zim. He says it helping others fulfills him.
