DreamStar Zimbabwe Winner Probeatz Bags $5000

Probeatz, a Harare based beat-boxer walked away with this year’s title of DreamStar Zimbabwe winner and bagged himself $5 000 prize.

The fan favorite had this to say about the win. “I am overwhelmed because negative energy from other people became my inspiration after they told me, ‘as good as you are you can never be the actual winner because you’re a beat-boxer. Fight for 2nd place or 3rd’, but I made a point that beatboxing is no joke but also a serious form of art. This is a new beginning not only for me but for all Zim beatboxers and we’re not stopping there.”

Dance group Soul Finders came second and walked away $3000 richer and Gweru Polytechnic student Nyasha Dengwani came out third and walked away with $1000.

All the top ten contestants walked away with $500 each.
