Retired Zimbabwean Jimmy Jambo Still On Kaizer Chiefs’ Payroll

Retired Kaizer Chiefs defender, Zimbabwe’s own Jimmy Jambo is still getting his monthly salary from the team.

Jambo ‘s career came to an end in July 2014 after suffering a horrific career threatening knee injury for Chiefs back in 2013.

Despite his contract with Chiefs expiring, Jambo is still receiving a monthly salary from the club as he awaits his insurance money to be paid by the SA PSL.

The Zimbabwean reportedly is grateful for the support his former team has been giving him. “Its been tough on the player but at least the money he gets from Chiefs every month has helped him. He is still in South Africa as we speak,” said a source close to the player.

There are teams back home which are reportedly waiting for Jumbo but he hasn’t been able to join the ZPSL because of the injury and the Insurance.
