Chicken Inn to play Mamelodi Sundowns in African Safari

Zimbabwean champions Chicken Inn face a stern test after they were drawn to play Mamelodi Sundowns in the first round of the Caf champions league.

The Gamecocks host Sundowns in the first leg before travelling to South Africa for the second leg.

Chicken Inn qualified for the champions league following a maiden premiership title. Despite taking time to make a decision on whether to participate on the African Safari, Chicken Inn eventually decided to compete in Africa where they face an acid test when they meet Sundowns.

Apart from other stars, Mamelodi Sundowns have top Zimbabwean players in their ranks one of which is Khama Billiat, a player that is rated as the most valuable player in South Africa. Cuthbert Malajila is another Zimbabwean that turns out for the Brazilians.

The first round of CAF fixtures in 2016 will take place on the 12th to 14th of February, with the CCL group stage qualifiers being decided after three rounds by the end of April.
