Hazard accused of feigning injury to boycott Mourinho

Eden Hazard has been accused of faking his hip injury against Leicester in an attempt to ‘boycott’ Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

Hazard was substituted after barely half an hour of Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Leicester on Monday, with the Belgian sustaining a hip injury after a heavy tackle from Jamie Vardy.

The winger re-entered the field of play but left again soon after, and was replaced by the ineffective Pedro at the King Power Stadium.

Mourinho branded Hazard’s injury as “serious” rather sarcastically post-match, and now newspaper reports in the the 24-year-old’s native Belgium have questioned the winger.

Hazard will undergo a scan on the hip injury in order to ascertain its severity, but it is thought he will be fit to face Sunderland in a relegation six-pointer on Saturday.
