Jonathan Mashingaidze to be fired

Zimbabwe Football Association Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Mashingaidze will head into 2016 with the axe hovering over his head as newly elected Zifa president Philip Chioyangwa seeks to make changes at 53 Livingstone Avenue.

Mashingaidze has long been deemed to be among reasons for Zimbabwean football’s failure and close sources say Chiyangwa is eager to get rid of the C.E.O.

The ZIFA C.E.O is partly blamed for tarnishing the Associations image after in the past making reckless statements which did not go down well with the corporate world.

A close source told Zimsportsnews.com “A shrewd C.E.O is what Dr Chiyangwa is looking at. He wants a man that can convince the corporate world to invest in football, hence I can tell you that Mashingaidze’s day’s as Zifa C.E.O are numbered”.

Despite allgedly being the author of Philip Chiyangwa’s manifesto, Mashingaizde’s gloomy past is said to be the major reason for Chiyangwa’s lack of confidence inm him.
