Valeria Bhunu falls in Nigeria

Valeria Bhunu crashed out of the Nigeria women’s tennis tournament following a 6-4, 1-6, 3-6 defeat at the hands of Norway’s Ulrikke Eikeri on Wednesday.

Bhunu got off to a flying start after winning the first set 6-4. Bhunu however struggled in the second set as Eikeri recovered to level matters at 1 set all.

Norway’s Eikeri maintained her dominance in a third set which she won 6-3 to win the match 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.

Unlike Garanganga who progressed to the quaters, Bhunu’s hopes of making it to the last 8 went up in smoke at the West African tourney.
