Chevrons hope for redemption

The Zimbabwe cricket team will be hoping for redemption when they clash against Bangladesh in four t-20 internationals. The first of the four encounters is slated for this Friday and Dav Whatmore will be hoping for positive results on the back of disappointing showings in Dubai where the chevrons lost to Afghanistan in the ODI, and t-20 series against the Associate member.

The Chevrons have since sought to address the poor showings by appointing new personnel in the Zim sides technical team. Makhaya Ntini will soon commence work as Zimbabwe’s bowling coach with Marvin Attapatu taking a role as a batting consultant.

Zimbabwe head into Friday’s 1st t-20 international eager for a positive result after their losses to Afghanistan were followed by heavy criticism from the local cricket fraternity.

Vusi Sibanda and Sean Williams are expected to bring stability to the Chevrons who struggled with their batting against Afghanistan.
