How the Warriors should line up against Mali

Zimbabwe’s group d opening defeat against Zambia would have served as a wake up call for Pasuwa. The Warriors now languish at the basement of the group d standings with no point.

Heading into Saturday’s encounter Pasuwa will now have to effect a number of changes to ensure the warriors defeat Mali on Saturday.

To start off with, Zimbabwe seemed short of creativity in Tuesday’s loss, with the Warriors strike force lacking clean balls save for the two chances spurned by Edmore Chirambadare. As a remedy to the midfield problems Raphael Manuvire is expected to start in Saturday’s encounter.

Another change that could bring joy for the warriors will be the coming in of Rodrick Mutuma who only came on as a late second half substitute in Tuesday’s loss.

Knox Mutizwa and Francesco Zekumbawire are thus expected to make way for Manuvire and Mutuma as Zimbabwe search for maximum points in a must win encounter. Other than those two changes Pasuwa is likely to stick to the team that started against Zambia.
