Judicial service commission empowers the public with information through an open day

The Judicial Service Commission held an open day. The prestigious judicial institution invited members of public to come and get first hand information on the functions of the courts in Zimbabwe. The event proved fruitful as scores of people turned up for the event on Wednesday.

The day was marked by a hive of activity with today, with people turning up at the various stations put in the courtyards in the various courts across the country. JSC is celebrating 10 years of existence and decided to hold the event to mark the anniversary. The institution has established firmly over the past decade and cemented its position as the medium through which justice is administered.


At High court, in Harare people could be seen getting useful information on court processes as well as being handed some pamphlets. The judiciary is one of the three arms of government including the legislature and the executive. With so much speculation over the handling of matters at courts including high profile cases, most people have indeed benefited from the open invitation to learn more about how courts function.

Most people expressed gratitude at the institution for being so considerate and empowering ordinary people with helpful information.
