25 Year Old Brazillian Ex Mayor Who Ran Town Through WhatsApp Wanted For Corruption

As youth the best thing that can happen to your community is have a 25 year old Mayor because they would understand the challenges they youth are facing. But this 25 year old Brazillian ex Mayor will have people doubting if the youth can be faithful leaders or not.

Lidiane Leite is a 25 year old woman who is now an ex Mayor for Bom Jardim, one of the most impoverished regions in Brazil which she is said to have run through WhatsApp.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Leite is facing corruption charges for about $4 million that went missing in government funds. She is also being accused of stealing education funds from the local schools. The 25 year old was fired from her job last week after she went MIA at her office for 10 days.

People became suspicious when Leite started bragged about her new lifestyle on Instagram. because her salary would not be able to cover all the expensive things she was buying. Local Police told CNN that Leite was taking numerous trips doing plastic surgery and buying expensive cars.

Her boyfriend who also ran for the Mayor position three years ago but was booted off for corruption accusations is in custody for taking part in the scheme.

Leite is on the run and her lawyer said she went into hiding because she panicked and it was not premeditated.
