ICYMI : Jah Prayzah Abandons His Mutare Gig

There was havoc at Jah Prayzah’s concert in Mutare as fans ran in all directions scooting  for cover, while artist Jah Prayzah had to bounce off the stage, deserting his show at Pick and Save in Mutare last Saturday night when a chemical weapon canister was discharged by one of the aggressive parties as violence erupted.

 The crooner started the show well around 11pm and performed his greatest hits such as Eriza and other songs which charmed the audience, the show was attended with about three-thousand people.

It is said that all the trouble started around 2am when commotion rose between two fans, resulting one of them throwing this dangerous gas. Pick and Save proprietor Isau Mupfumi, identified these two pleasure seekers as Douglas Kombo of Plot 5, Christmas Pass, Mutare against Mutare socialite and businessman, Clyde Jani.

Isau said that they had about three thousand  people in attendance and all was well until around 2am when Cyde Jani had a nasty exchange of words with Douglas Kombo.

“The latter then threw a canister that was blocked by Jani before it rolled on the ground and started producing smoke that caused so much confusion and pain to revellers. Some who were near the entrance quickly rushed out but, others had a torrid time to find safety. Jah Prayzah had to jump off the stage” he added.

Douglas Kombo was reportedly assaulted by a number of fans who blamed him for causing the abrupt stoppage of the entertaining show. They said Douglas was instantly offered to pay five thousand dollars ($5,000) for the damage he had caused as well as for the return of  to the musician on stage.
