Jah Prayzah Pays Tribute To American Artist Prince and Rhumba Legend Papa Wemba
Our top charting music legend Jah Prayzah took the honour to pay tribute to the two international music icons who passed away recently. Legendary American artist Prince who died at the age of 57 and Congolese Rhumba Legend Papa Wemba (66) who passed away at Zebra in Mbare on Sunday evening .
He took to Facebook yesterday with a heart melting message inviting his fans to gather at Mbare so as to pay tribute together to the music legends who left us saying: “Today I take a bow and salute in honour of the international artists whom we have lost during the course of the week. Mazuva mashoma apfuura the legendary American artist Prince passed away”.
“Today I have received the news that Congolese rhumba legend Papa Wemba collapsed on stage during a performance. I appreciate the impact these men and many more have made in the music industry. May they rest well, let’s meet and celebrate music in all its forms, celebrate unity, celebrate life!” he added
