Meet Zimbabwe New Cricket Head Coach Makhaya Ntini

Former South African fast bowler Makhaya Ntini, who joined Zimbabwe as bowling coach in January, was elevated to head coach in an acting capacity in the wake of Dav Whatmore being fired.

Ntini was promoted and Lance Klusener appointed as Zimbabwe Cricket made sweeping changes to their national team’s management structure yesterday. However, Ntini’s time at the top is likely to be limited, as he will hold the reins “until the appointment of a substantive head coach”.

Klusener, a former South African all rounder, who played for the Mutare Mountaineers, in 2010-2011, has signed a two-year contract as batting coach.
