Did Trevor Dongo Drop $600 For Jah Prayzah’s New Album

It’s finally happening for Zimbabwean artists, gone are the days when music was only for the passionate. Lets be honest, music has not been on the list of most paying careers in Zimbabwe, only a handful have managed to have the “musician lifestyle”.

But it seems all this is changing, for the better this time around. Trevor Dongo reportedly dropped some hard core cash to get himself Jah Prayzah’s new album “Jerusarema” last Friday at the album launch held at HICC.

$600 in cash, that’s what the urban grooves crooner dropped. Hey look, we are not saying Jah Prayzah’s album is not worth it but $600? That’s no even twice a salary of most Zimbabweans. Not even Oliver Mtukudzi collection or Michael Jackson’s album costs that much!

Only one thing can explain this, Trevor did this to show some support to fellow countryman, which is cool to watch artists be happy for each other’s success.

This also means Zimbabwean artists are now in a position to spent that much on an album, if you know what we mean. We don’t want to believe Trevor Dongo was showing off considering he just got married. Yeah, that would be a bad way to start this marriage life.

Trevor Dongo is one of the best collaborative urban groover’s around just don’t tell Roki we said that and he’s been touring both locally and in the UK. So it’s not really a surprise that he dropped $600 for one album.

Maybe all this is reflective of how great Jah Prayzah is as an artist, last time it was Phillip Chiyangwa who reportedly dropped $12k for his previous album and now a fellow artist, Trevor Dongo. We wonder which artist is next to break the record?
