Kwese Sports Gets Rights granted by FIFA

Zimbabwean satellite and broadcasting network Kwese Sports has been given broadcasting right to the 2017-2018 FIFA games.

FIFA announced the winners of the broadcasting right to the 2017-2018 FIFA games which include FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

The 5 media companies secured rights to screen the games include Multichoice’s SuperSport, SABC, Kwese Sports, StarTimes and CANAL+.

According to the FIFA announcement, the rights to the 2018 FIFA World Cup are as follows:

FIFA has given Kwese, through Econet Media, free-to-air and pay-TV transmission. Kwese Sports will show the FIFA World Cup and other tournaments in all sub‑Saharan Africa territories except South Africa.

Other tournaments being screened during the same period include FIFA U-20 World Cup 2017; FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017; FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2017; FIFA Confederations Cup 2017; FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2018; FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2018.
