Chawapiwa joins Sekhukhune United

Zimbabwe international Talent Chawapiwa has completed his move to DStv Premier League new boys Sekhukhune United on a two-year deal after spending two seasons with Durban club AmaZulu FC.

Chawapiwa’s move was triggered by the need for the player to have more game time after featuring for AmaZulu for just 20 times under gaffer Benni McCarthy last season.

Speaking soon after his move, the winger said he’s looking forward to take up the new challenge while vowing to work hard and return to his usual best.

“I am really excited to sign for the Sekhukhune United and I am looking forward to do my best and help my team achieve its goals. I am positive I will have enough game time because there are some things that I considered which I am sure will help me to be where I want to be as a player. At AmaZulu I was happy but I didn’t play much as I would have wanted to,” Chawapiwa said.

The 29-year-old forward joins other fellow countrymen former Warriors’ veteran shot-stopper Tapuwa Kapini who is the club captain, winger Walter Musona and defender MacClive Phiri.
