Staying healthy is as easy as ABC and even up to E if you think of it. Everyday you go through articles on the ‘how tos’ of health and the knowledge can become overwhelming. Why not keep it simple like the alphabet in pre-school so as to remember the end goal of long health. Below are the A to E rules of staying healthy.

A-Abstain

The first rule and possibly a golden rule. Abstinence is not only limited to sexual health but your health overall. Are there bad health habits that you’re practicing? Then it’s time to change and better yet abstain.

B-Breathe

Breathing is the essence of life and good breathing is very important. Make your environment suitable for your respiratory system. Breathing also means relaxing and decreasing stress.

C-Clean up

Whether it’s bathing, brushing your teeth or even making your bed, make sure that you and your surroundings are always clean.

D-Diet

There’s always a confusion when it comes to the word ‘diet’. Dieting doesn’t mean starving yourself to stay lean or avoid diseases. Your diet should consist of foods that are high in the nutrients required to stay healthy. If you have food allergies then seek an alternative diet that will be safe yet healthy for you.

E-Exercise

This rule can never be over emphasized. Exercise works hand in hand with your diet. Exercising is not even limited to the gym or Zumba class. Daily activities are a form of exercise so take full advantage of that.
