The album was released on March 30th in Harare and has received rave reviews worldwide. The Guardian reviewed the album early in March with a four star rating. Luyando was said to have ‘gutsy vocals and advice on dealing with lions’ as the group paid homage to their home Victoria Falls.

The self produced album began being recorded in 2015. ‘Luyando’ which means ‘mother’s love’ has the band singing in four indigenous languages and English. It made its debut on the European Music Charts landing straight at number 7.

Mokoomba is six member world music band from Victoria Falls. They began their career in 2008 but it was only in 2012 that they broke out. The band has toured and performed around the world. Last year they made history by performing at the 4th Africa Now concert at the Apollo Theatre.

The group will begin their five month tour at the end of April. The group will begin with the United States where they are scheduled to perform.
