Prayersoul Releases Sophomore Album

Neo-soul singer-songwriter Prayersoul is scheduled to release his sophomore album this Friday.
The album titled ‘While I Was Away’ is a follow-up to his 2012 self-titled debut album ‘Prayersoul’.
The album launch is scheduled to be held at Ora in Hellensvale, Harare on 28 April 2017. The event is expected to be graced by a number of local celebrities including Sanii Makhalima who shared a video promoting the event on social media.
Prayersoul who recently turned 34 sampled some of his songs off the album back in February. He recently released the single ‘Go’ which features Reverb 7 and guitar sangoma, Sylent Nqo. He also collaborated with Chengeto Brown on a single called ‘Take Me Away’ which they debuted in February. It was sampled at ‘An Intimate Affair’ at Alliance Francaise.
Reverb 7, Chengeto and Sylent Nqo are expected guests at the album launch. Also featuring on the album is fellow neo soul artist Fungai Nengare, German group Jamaram and German singer Sammy Danger. Production on the album was partly done in Germany, by house DJ/producer Reverb 7 and DS Sengwayo of Whereitsat Studios.
Prayersoul is known for his soulful music which is niche. He has performed at HIFA and toured Germany and Austria. His popular tracks include ’60 Seconds’ and the 2016 single ‘Completely’ which features Candice Mwakalyelye in the music video.
