Cde Chinx Finally Gets His House

Liberation musician Cde Chinx finally received the house that   the Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA) had  pledged on Tuesday.

Cde Chinx received the house after he was discharged from hospital. Chingaira was admitted at West End Hospital and had been rumoured to have died a number of times last week.

The house was part of the pledge made by the Zimbabwe Music Awards in honour of the veteran musician. In 2014 Cde Chinx received the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the seventh edition of the prestigious awards.

First Lady, Grace Mugabe attended and officiated the handover ceremony.

Other guests included contributing partners, fellow musicians, arts stakeholders as well as representatives from ZIMA including the chairman Joseph Nyadzayo who said he personally invested $30 000 into the house in Sentosa.

Cde Chinx received a four-bedroomed house located at 17 Takley Road, Sentosa, Malbereign in Harare.
