Jah Prayzah Joins Other African Stars On Coke Studio 2017

Jah Prayzah has been keeping fans wondering what he was cooking at the Coke Studio in Kenya through posts on his social media. Coca Cola finally announced the list for the rebranded Coke Studio Africa 2017 following the merger of Coke Studio Africa and Coke Studio South Africa. Superstar Jah Prayzah will be part of the line up on the non-competitive music collaboration show.

For those who follow the Coke Studio sessions have watched Zimbabweans Oliver Mtukudzi, Ammara Brown and South African-based Buffalo Souljah have participated last year.

Jah Prayzah will join other artists from the continent including from Nigeria, Runtown and Yemi, Nasty C, Busiswa, from South Africa, Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo from Uganda and Youssoupha (Democratic Republic of Congo), to name but a few.

The merger increases the number of participants from 11 to 16 with more than 30 countries across Africa broadcasting the show. Coke Studio Africa 2017 is expected to air from August in South and Central African and from September  in East and West Africa.

According to Coca-Cola Zimbabwe official, Vee Chibanda, “Music has always been the heartbeat and soul of Africa, but the internet, social media and creativity is taking artistes from their communities and cities and allowing them to reach an audience across the continent, which is being supported through initiatives such as Coke Studio Africa.”
This year’s production team includes reputable producers Yuvir Pillay Nivedan (South Africa), Kiff No Beat (Ivory Coast) and Nahreel (Tanzania).
