Khama Billiat has is out of Zimbabwe’s 2019 opening for the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia.
Khama was part of the Warriors squad scheduled to play at AFCON. The Warriors will be playing their first Group G games at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Billiat who has been battling to regain fitness following an ankle injury, was not released by his club Mamelodi Sundowns. The club feared that Billiat mightfurther his injury.
So far the forward has missed out on Sundowns’ last two games in tbe Champions league. The team played against DRC team AS Vita and Tunisia’s Esperance.
Khama Billiat will travel to Harare to be assessed. According to Warriors interim manager Wellington Mandate, they would have to see the medical report however he’s very optimistic about having the 26 year old for the match against the Liberians.
