Zimbabwean The Voice SA Semi-Finalist Signs To Universal Music

Reality talent TV shows always get viewers hyped up and at times emotional. The just ended season of The Voice SA had many Zimbabweans feeling some type of way as Zim contestant Josh Ansley came in second in the finals. Though many of his loyal fans from home felt robbed, all was not in vain. Record label Universal Music South Africa announced that Josh will be joining the label.

In a tweet the label announced that Ansely will be joining the Universal Music South Africa family. Joining him are fellow The Voice former contestants Farman, Caroline Broussow and Armand Joubert. Check out the tweet below:


The 31-year-old Johannesburg based entertainer impressed the coaches on season 2 of The Voice SA. He got four turn chairs after wowing the panel coaches with AC/DC’s head-banging classic “Shook Me All Night Long”. He then chose coach Bobby van Jaarsveld who has seen him all tge way through to the finals.

Ansely garnered support from fellows Zimbabweans at home and abroad. He then came second to Craig Jacobs in the finals.

This is a huge milestone for the Zimbabwean who has been singing and entertaining all his life.
