Top 6 Zim serial killers of 2019.

Brutal murders and grissly crime scenes are usually things that people see on television. Switch to real life and these things are actually happening on a daily basis. More often than not, we read about people being murdered in different parts of the country. But who is committing these heinous crimes, where do they come from and why do they do it?. Some of the questions remain unanswered. Here is our list of the top ten notorious murderers who were convicted in 2019.

1 Tapiwa Mangani.

Tapiwa Mangani and his co accused Nesbert Nyamasoka were both convicted of killing a young teenager on his way from church practice. They strangled him to death before stealing a guitar in his possession and his clothes. They left him in an alley in Chitungwiza. The duo was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. During indications to the police, Tapiwa gave a graphic description of how he had attacked the young victim and strangled him whilst his co accused took his possessions.

2 Togarasei Mashumba.

The humble faced killer axed his girlfriend to death in the district of Murewa. They had been fighting over her phone which he believed contained messages from other boyfriends. After the two had retired to bed, he struck her with an axe on the head and she died. Her lifeless body was discovered by her two juvenile children the following morning. Mashumba had ten fled to My Darwin where he was apprehended by the police. He was sented to 23 years imprisonment.

3 Garikai Chihuri

The illegal gold panner was found guilty of murdering a patron during a beer brawl in Kadoma. He had sliced him to death with a matchete which he kept hidden in his trousers. The victim had intervened to stop Chihuri and his patner from assaulting a female patron who had refused then sexual favours. The two had then descended upon the victim for reprimanding them and killed him. Garikai Chihuri was not remorseful and after killing the victim he had remarked that he was not one to be undermined by such young boys. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

4 Nobert Wine

A sad case of jealousy and rage in which a young 16 year old bride was assaulted to death by her new husband. Nobert had not even paid the bride price yet but upon feeling that his wife was cheating on him he had assaulted he until she passed away. This had happened in the bush where he had followed her and when they arrived home he had liked that she had been involved in a hit and run accident. It only emerged later on that he had murdered his wife. He was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment.

5 Baltimore Mudhivari

He assaulted his sister in law, wife to his late brother for having a boyfriend. He said this was a disgrace to their family name and she needed to be punished. He had assaulted her with a switch and locked the door from inside so that she does not escape. They had slept in the same room with the sister in law, his own sister and a nephew, intending to go to the headman the following day. She ha died during the night due to the assault.

6 Tashinga Musonza

The Gweru based air Force pilot murdered his lawyer girlfriend Lucy Dube whom he had been co habiting with. This was a clear crime of passion in which Musonza accused Dube of having an affair. He had assaulted her after a sexual encounter. Musonza was slapped with an 20 year of jail term.
