Highlanders’ Unbeaten Record ended

Bosso’s impressive run of unbeaten league matches was brought to an abrupt end following a 2 nil defeat at the hands of FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium. The hosts quickly took the lead in the 7th minute after Peter Mudhuwa’s own goal.

Despite Highlanders’ efforts to make a comeback, they found it challenging to penetrate FC Platinum’s defense, and the first half ended with the hosts leading 1-0. In the 75th minute, Walter Musona scored the second goal, securing the Platinum miners’ victory.

The defeat meant that Highlanders’ five-point lead was reduced to just two points after Ngezi Platinum’s 3-0 win over Triangle at the Baobab Stadium.

Madamburo took the lead in the 14th minute through Takunda Benhura before Qadr Amini extended the Mhondoro outfit’s lead in the 49th minute. Qadr Amini’s close-range effort sealed the deal in the 58th minute as Madamburo emerged victorious with a 3-0 win.

This victory brought Madamburo closer to Highlanders, whose remarkable unbeaten streak finally came to an end.
