Shoko Festival Reveal More Artists For Line-Up
Shoko Festival 2017 wants people to reach ‘Youtopia’ while enjoying one of Africa’s biggest urban festivals this September. As announced South African hip hop artist Emtee and top comedian Mpho Poops will be headlining as the main acts. As the line-up continues to be announced, artists for the Acoustic Sunset show have been named.
The Acoustic Sunset will see SA based contemporary singer Gemma Griffiths making her return and acoustic guitar sensation Tariro NeGitare headlining. Shoko Festival’s Acoustic Sunset programme is produced in partnership with Unplugged.
Joining the leading ladies are Harare-based band Jam Signal, guitar maestro Sylent Nqo and beat boxer Probeatz.
Tariro neGitare will open the Acoustic Sunset line-up won Friday the 29th of September. Gemma Griffiths, Probeatz and Sylent Nqo will take to the Acoustic Sunset stage on Saturday the 30th of September.
The local headline acts include Takura, Simba Tagz, ExQ, Takura and Calvin.
Tickets for Shoko Festival go on sale in September with general admission tickets going for $10 per day, $5 per day for varsity/college students with a valid student ID, $5 for 2 high school students in uniform.
