Another Big Acting Role For Danai Gurira 

It’s a season of plenty for US based Zimbabwean actress Danai Gurira. The Walking Dead actress is speculated to be up for a role in the franchise ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.

According to online media Deadline, she’ll play Okoye, her character in Marvel’s “Black Panther.’ Gurira’s Black Panther” co-star Chadwick Boseman will be reprising his character for the Avengers movie.

A fourth Avengers movie, is in the works although not much detail has been offered.

Danai is synonymous with her role as sword wielding ‘Michonne’ in ‘The Walking Dead.’ She has been nominated for a Tony Award for her Broadway play ‘Eclipse’. She has also been nominated for the NAACP awards.

She is co-starring alongside Demetrius Shipp Jnr in the Tupac biopic ‘All Eyez On Me’. In the movie that will be released on Friday 15 June, Gurira stars as the late rapper’s mother, the late, Afeni Shakur.

Danai is definitely making strides in her career and continues to proudly fly the Zimbabwean flag high.
