Rising hip hop artist to benefit from Mr Eazi project

Rising hip hop artist Union 5, real name Tafara Dondo has been given the chance of a life time by being selected as one of the ten musicians to benefit from the Empawa initiative.

Union 5 has set the pace for other youthful musicians to follow. His selection has raised hopes for many that if you work diligently and show consistency in your trade, opportunities such as these are bound to come your way.

The project is run by Nigerian artist Mr Eazi with the mission to grow independent, emerging talented artists into global superstars and to nurture independent music enterprenuers. Union 5 was selected among thousands of entries proving that he is a force to be reckoned with in hip hop circles. The singer is in Cape town as part of the initiative for a four week master class. During this period topical issues such as understanding the music industry, marketing ad production among others will be extensively discussed. 

Union 5 made the headlines last year when he gave a sterling performance at Nasty C’s show at the Wingate golf club. Some of his songs include I mean it, Hona Magetsi and Plan. Union 5 is also a beat boxer.

 The master class is a platform for the youthful artist to learn tips on how he can launch his career and boost his image. Simba tagz and Diplo have also been selected to be menyirs at the expose’
