New Details Emerge Over The Death Of Pro Jonathana Moyo Daughter

New details have emerged over the death of Professor Jonathan Moyo’s daughter passing. According to Chronicle Zimbabwe, South African police opened a murder investigation case after she was found dead in her room in Cape Town.

Zanele’s friend known as Nicole reportedly found her face-down with a head wound on Saturday morning when she got into Zanele’s room with the help of a locksmith. She also bled from the nose, reports say.

Police spokesperson gave a statement saying, “circumstances surrounding the death of a 20 year old student whose body was found by friends deceased in a flat in Main Rd, Rosebank is under investigation. We’ve opened an inquest docket for further investigations. A postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of the death.”

Reports say investigators are looking for two Zambian men, one of them named Stephen and the other one is half Zimbabwean after reports emerged Zanele was introduced to Stephen by a mutual friend three weeks ago.

Stephen reportedly had an instant liking to Zanele which came across as obsession. Two days before her death, Stephen was reportedly at Zanele’s apartment and the 20 year old told her friend Nicole, Stephen was taking her to dinner. That was the last time she was seen alive.

Meanwhile Prof Moyo and Phillip Chiyangwa are reportedly in Cape Town preparing to take Zanele’s body back home. Chiyangwa reportedly has activated his contacts in South Africa and Zambia to track down Stephen.

Stephen who is reported to be in Zambia attending his father’s funeral reportedly said he would hand over himself to the police in Cape Town by Friday.

“I made him call the investigating officer to repeat that promise and I hope for his sake he’s not selling us a dummy because I’ve means to extract him from Zambia should he fail to return to Cape Town”, said Chiyangwa who is friends with the Moyo family.
