Zimbabwean, Bulawayo based all-female ensemble, Nobuntu, will be touring the United States. The award-winning acapella group have already kick started their debut tour.
Nobuntu will be touring the USA for three months heading to 20 cities in the different states. They will perform in West Virginia, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Among venues they will perform at are the Historic Asolo Theatre, Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center, Bailey Concert Hall among many.
Nobuntu are renowned for their fusion of traditional Zimbabwean-rooted music. They aim to maintain and celebrate their culture, beauty and heritage through art. The group consists of Thandeka Moyo, Heather Dube, Joyline Sibanda, Zanele Manhenga and Duduzile Sibanda.
The group has shared their excitement as this is their first time in the USA. They have previously toured Europe. They have also shared that they want to share their stories and the Zimbabwean story through their music.
