10 Effective Exercises to Slim Down Your Face

There is an obsession with facial symmetry as it is deemed at the ideal. For those who can afford it, they get nip and tucks to achieve the perfect, slim and symmetrical face. The face is the body part that is first noticed when we talk about appearance. While it’s important to take care of of the skin there are ways to achieve a chiseled jawline and high cheekbones. You can sculpt your face into the shape and size that you desire which also helps you look younger. You can do facial exercises that help in weight reduction and toning the shape of your face.Below are 10 of the most effective facial exercises that slim down your face.

1.Jaw release

This exercise helps achieve high cheekbones and more attractive jaw line. This happens by stretching and dealing the muscles around your lips, jaws and cheeks. Sit or stand in a straight posture and moving your jaw just like you are chewing while keeping your lips closed. Breathe in deeply and breathe out while humming. Open your mouth wide with your tongue pressed within your bottom teeth. Hold this posture for 5 seconds, now breath in and out again. Repeat 10 times.

2. Lower lip lift

Sit down, and tilt your head back. Now imagine that you need to reach the ceiling with your lower lip. Stick out your lower lip as far as you can, and hold for 5-10 seconds. Then take a short break, and repeat 2-3 times.

3. Fish face

The fish face exercise, is best facial exercise for cheeks because it tones and spreads cheek muscles.  Suck in your cheeks and lips, hold the posture for 5 seconds, and repeat 10 times.

4. Chin lift

Cross your arms over your chest, and slowly raise your chin while standing straight. Once you reach your limit, take a long deep breath, and count to 10 or 15. Then slowly return to the starting position.

5. Blowing air

The blowing air exercise reduce double chin and get rid of chubby cheeks. Sit on a chair with your spine straight, tilt your head back to any extent possible to make sure that you face the ceiling, pull your lips and blow out air from your mouth. Hold for 10 seconds and repeat 10 times.

6. Lip down pull

This exercise helps reduce the cheeks losing elasticity. Keep your head straight and pull the corners of your lips down, and return to the starting position. Repeat at least 5 times, until you feel some tension in your muscles.

7. Close the Eyes

Close your eyes firmly with the help of the muscles of your cheeks. Stay in the position for 10 seconds and relax your face muscles after ten seconds. The technique should be repeated 5 times a day at least.

8. Writing in the air

Sit straight, and hold a pencil with your lips tightened. Now try to write your name in the air without moving your head. Keep doing this exercise for at least 3 minutes. Then take a short break, and repeat a few more times.

9. Face stretch

Stretch your face muscles by lowering your chin until it starts touching the chest. Pull the skin moving below the cheekbones. Once in position pronounce “Ah”. Remain in static position for a while and repeat the procedure three times a day.

10. Head tilt

This exercise is great for your neck muscles as it tones up the muscles around your face. Tilt your head to the right, trying to reach your shoulder with your ear. Press your right hand against the right side of your head, while resisting with your head and neck. Hold for 10 seconds, and repeat for the other side.
